Gum base is one of the fundamental components of chewing gum. The base, which contains ingredients such as polymers, wax and softeners, ensures the ideal structure and chewing properties. It is gum base that gives chewing gum its character. With gum base, we can adjust the sweetness, taste, dental benefits and more.
Types of gum base
Gum base is traditionally divided into two types: chewing gum base and bubble gum base. However, Gumlink has in recent years developed a variety of new gum bases to meet the latest market trends and requirements. For example, we offer gum bases that are especially-well suited to the release of active ingredients, gum bases that stick less than traditional bases, and specially-developed gum bases for the latest product technologies, such as compressed gum and centrefilled chewing gum.

Production of gum base
